Nhan Dan Online - Vietnam secured their first win at the Southeast Asian Futsal Championship which kicked off yesterday at Phu Tho Gymnasium, Ho Chi Minh City yesterday.

Three goals by Huynh Ba Tuan, Nguyen Quoc Binh, Nguyen Bao Quan helped the host defeat the Philippines 3-0.

Earlier, in Group B, Indonesia beat Malaysia 7-3. Defending champions Thailand crushed Myanmar 16-6.

Vietnam lie in Group A with the Philippines and Timor Leste while Group B comprises Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Myanmar.
