Vietnam’s top weight lifter Hoang Anh Tuan official got a ticket to the Beijing Olympics Games in August, the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) informed the Vietnam Federation.

Tuan was currently ranked 8th by the IWF after his outstanding performance at a series of world and regional competitions, including the Asian Weightlifting Championship and the Good Luck Beijing 2008 tournament.

Before Tuan, 16 athletes from Vietnam already qualified for the Olympics - in taekwondo, wushu, shooting, table tennis, gymnastics and badminton. (VNA)
