Nhan Dan – The seventh national Phu Dong Sports Festival 2008 is ready, said the People's Committee of the northern province of Phu Tho and the Ministry of Education and Training on June 13 .

The sports festival is scheduled to open on the evening of August 1, and close on the evening of August 9 in Phu Tho.

Participants, who are pupils in 64 provinces and cities, will compete in 17 events, including track and field, swimming, football, chess, shuttlecock, taekwondo, karatedo, judo, wushu, table tennis, volleyball, badminton, basketball, gymnastics, crossbow shooting, freestyle wresting and traditional wresting.
