The second
Vietnam-India people’s friendship festival is being
organised today in Hanoi and then Ho Chi Minh City from
August 13-15, following the first in India last year.
Co-organised
by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations and the
Vietnam-India Friendship Association, the festival aims to
celebrate the 61st anniversary of India’s National Day and
the one-year old joint statement on strategic partnership
between the two countries.
A 55-strong
delegation from India is scheduled to pay a visit to Vietnam
and work with the National Assembly, the Ho Chi Minh
National Political-Administrative Academy, the Vietnam
Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Water Resources
University.
The Indian
guests will also have working sessions with the Ho Chi Minh
Communist Youth Union Central Committee, the Vietnam Women’s
Union, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, and the
Vietnam Opera-Ballet Theatre.
In Ho Chi
Minh City, they will visit the War Remnants Museum and Cu
Chi tunnels, and meet with representatives of the business
circles from India and Vietnam. (VNA) |
